Our Structure: The Department and E Center
At OSU, we have a unique structure that includes both an academic Department of Entrepreneurship and the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship. They work in tandem to create unique curriculum, bring our courses alive through experiential learning, help faculty and students start ventures, engage the entrepreneurial community while also involving them in the program, and make a meaningful contribution to new venture creation in the State of Oklahoma.
The Department of Entrepreneurship
With one of the most comprehensive academic programs in the world, the Department of Entrepreneurship is a leading innovator in educating current and future entrepreneurs. Our faculty includes thought leaders who are changing the way entrepreneurs around the world approach new venture creation through their published research. The Entrepreneurship Program (EEE) at Oklahoma State includes 8 faculty members, 28 courses, and each semester serves hundreds of students at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Department offers a minor in entrepreneurship for non-business students, a minor in entrepreneurship for business students, a major in entrepreneurship, an MBA concentration in entrepreneurship, and a Ph.D. program in entrepreneurship. The department’s pedagogical approach centers on helping students recognize their entrepreneurial potential, and improve their abilities on eleven unique entrepreneurial competencies. The Department also manages the Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholars Program and coordinates the Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Living and Learning Community.
