Xplosafe, LLC
Recent Oklahoma State University (OSU) MBAgraduate Shoaib Shaikh along with OSU chemistry professors, Drs. Allen Apblett and Nick Materer have founded XploSafe LLC. XploSafe, based in Stillwater, Oklahoma is a provider of critical safety solutions for Homeland Security and Laboratory Safety. XploSafe’s innovative technologies and products protect people that deal with explosive and unstable compounds. The team has successfully commercialized two OSU technologies for explosives detection and chemical safety.
XploSafe products have been accepted with absolute optimism. Captain David Moffitt of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad stated “It does what they say it will do…” in Stillwater News press, Dec 2009.
XploSafe has attained Department of Homeland Security (DHS) acceptance by becoming the first company to be accepted into the DHS FutureTECH program. The company has since graduated to the SECURE program. The company was recently awarded a Phase 1 SBIR contract from a federal agency.
